World Bank urged the government to tackle long-term challenges
While the Pheu-Thai led government is endeavouring to boost the economy by the much-publicised digital wallet scheme, a World Bank economist, Warunthorn Puthong, told Thai PBS World that structrual change is more significant for long-term economic development. As the short-term boost cannot sustain the economic growth, the economist emphasised that the development of secondary cities and adaption to climate change are essential.
